Collaborating with other clubs
Teaching blockchain is no easy task. If you divide and conquer, not only will you amplify your impact but also save your resources so that your talented members focus on building.
This is why BAF facilitates inter-club collabs for curriculum creation.
- Split it up between clubs so that each club is responsible for 1-2 weeks
- Have the project team selection process be strongly biased towards teams composed of people all from different universities
- Since every club is only doing 1-2 weeks, BAF aims to do 3-4 of these per year so we can educate people together as they come in, which will be super helpful to smaller clubs since their recruitment does not occur in batches in contrary to a large established club such as Blockchain at Michigan.
Collaborating with Protocols - Consulting
If you're a blockchain club looking to engage in hands-on projects and work with blockchain protocols, establishing a consulting arm can be a valuable initiative. Here are the steps based on an interview with Michigan Blockchain:
1. Starting from scratch:
- Develop a strong education division as a pipeline for students.
- Require education program participants to launch projects before joining the consulting team.
- Ensure a basic understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain concepts.
- Provide consulting training to equip students with problem-solving skills.
- Approve project ideas to ensure their value and relevance.
- Curate resources and partnerships to stay attuned to the latest trends.
- Focus on problem-solving skills since project challenges can be diverse.
- Embrace the "flywheel effect" and persevere through the initial challenges.
